A graph is presented in three dimensions relating the pressure, temperature and volume for a pure substance, and in which the liquid, solid and gas phases, and the phase equilibrium curves for said pure substance are illustrated: the substance considered in the illustrated graph is water. In this graph the critical point and the triple car heater 12v point is also illustrated, the latter being rather car heater 12v a line of equilibrium of the three phases.
An example which has a glass bottle which is filled with saturated water at certain car heater 12v pressure and resolves Quality percentage; then, is placed a tight lid, the water is cooled to a point below the normal solidification temperature, and is requested to calculate the mass fraction that freezes solid (solidifies) the temperature reached.
