Chronicle shows that in 1889, architect Mincu the Romanian xvc pavilion designed for the Universal

We're in Bucharest xvc (any) Otetelesanu terrace, but remained standing buffet on the road. Or Casa Doina after trivial name, in recent decades. xvc But on the same avenue Kiselev, at which his father left him, architect I.Mincu.
A celebrated Palm Sunday brought me back to the buffet. In fact, I dragged him in acestloc where the two names cohabiting. I came Mincu's buffet (year 1892 neo-Romanian momentum) and made brutally aware of Casa Doina. Do not go far in architectural details (famous and revolutionary), but directly in the menu for those not acquainted with the locality than through travel guides, albums or passing. Therefore, an ordinary beer - 14 lei, a beer without alcohol - 16 lei, lei plateau vegetarian- 37, a spinach with garlic sauce and polenta - 22 lei. Can you imagine how to get a menu with meat ... But that's not all: we are in the bill and Couvert, subtle thing that I met somewhere in Dorobanti (version here bread, butter si..servicii ). All but a bit desolate atmosphere and as boring name, with some waiters too stiff for my tastes. In fact, I came Mincu's architecture for history checks. Just in case Dipper beer, there can only dream of quiet, eyes on the walls and craftsmen painstakingly crafted with a pint or two in nas..Dar only enter up dancing or live music outlet.
Chronicle shows that in 1889, architect Mincu the Romanian xvc pavilion designed for the Universal Exhibition in Paris, in a style that represents a Wallachian-moldava synthesis, with strong imprint Brancovan. The success was huge, resounding.
So in 1892, the pavilion is rebuilt in Bucharest, under the name buffet in the road and immediately became one of the favorite places of Bucharest, the path that took place and beat with flowers.
Architectural details are part of what was then called Neo-Romanian style: patio, open semi-circular arches in braces (which I did not get along too), carved wooden pillars with folk motifs xvc in torsades belt, cufflinks and medallions glazed ceramic. Also introduced cartridges printed xvc decorative xvc wine varieties and vineyards and type in (inspired by the Cyrillic alphabet) xvc has been widely used in connection with national style.
In the era of success was so great that buffet the road and became the subject xvc of film (1897). And even mention the beginnings of cinema, worldwide, laboratory work being done at the company "Lumiere" in Lyon, cf. ranking.
Perhaps through these high prices by way poses waiters (without naturalness, without charm), managers maintain the premises in order Doina House, trying to impose some standards. The paradox is that this spirit remains only in history, architecture. Boheme cheflie remained postcards and posters painted in Belle Epoque flavor.
